Read more... the moment he arrived to capture the bride getting ready he was a tireless force whose enthusiasm, creativity and patience - particularly when it came to herding family members for the obligatory group shots! - were unwavering. Just by keeping his eyes open on the day he managed to scout some fantastic and unusual locations for shots, really capturing the feel of our day and of us as a couple. The end result was some stunning photography that our friends and family are still talking about!

On my first meeting with Neil about the wedding, we drove through to Edinburgh and we showed him the venues and generally had a walk about the town. Instantly I knew we had the right person for the job! He understood completely what I wanted and fell in love with the venue as much as I did! I didnt want your bog standard posey pictures that you end up getting bored looking at...I wanted pictures that made people laugh or question and just generally look "into" instead of glancing over! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE GOT!
Neither of us are very good at posing and he just completely made us feel at ease and we had a total laugh, pushing as many boundaries as possible!

Another thing that puts Neil above everyone else was his ability to put the rest of our party at ease and interacted with us like he was one of our guests and just went with the flow whereas some photographers would be quite pushy about getting certain shots etc.

And another thing.....hahaha... I know...praise praise...

We had our wedding over two days...the first just being 12 of our family...however for the second day we ask Neil about the possibility of getting a couple of pictures put onto a disk so we could allow our guests to see them at the reception...this he done, and again went way above the call of duty and gave us 30 photos!!!

I know I'm just praise praise praise...but I honestly have nothing bad to say about him...

We wanted our wedding day to be relaxed, informal and enjoyable for everyone. One of the top priorities was to have no long picture taking sessions with guests hanging around waiting. No posed pictures, and just to add to the challenges I told Neil “I hate having my photograph taken”. Neil assured us that all would be well and that on the day we’d hardly know he was there. He was right ! Apart from hearing the splash when he put a foot in the loch, called to us from behind a tree, lay flat on the railway lines (LOL – we did too !) we were almost unaware we had a photographer with us. Erm.....confession from me - that is, apart from the shots where he had me “posing” (yes – even though I am loathe to admit enjoying it !) in front of the Vintage Bentley. I have never been so surprised or delighted in my life ! The images Neil sent to us (2 days after the wedding !) are a perfect “story” of the day – and I love ALL of the photographs.

I’d love to say thank you so much for all your hard work Neil but you looked as if you were so “into it” I don’t think I’d be right to say that. Which leaves me to say - “You’re the BEST !”
